Rider is JetBrains' .NET IDE and uses the same default keymap as IntelliJ, with two additions worth knowing: the unit-testing chords on Ctrl + ; and a debugger that understands .NET specifics such as smart step-into. This page assumes the IntelliJ keys are familiar and concentrates on the .NET workflow. The table is the Windows/Linux keymap; Rider on macOS uses Cmd.

Ctrl + Shift + O opens a solution or project. Shift + Shift searches everywhere, types are on Ctrl + N; Ctrl + Alt + Shift + N reaches any symbol at all, including members of NuGet assemblies with decompiled sources. Ctrl + B goes to a declaration or, on a declaration, lists usages; Ctrl + Alt + B lists derived types and Ctrl + U base symbols, which is how you walk an inheritance chain. Ctrl + F12 lists the members of the current file. Alt + 1 opens the Solution Explorer.
Rider puts unit testing on a chord prefix: Ctrl + ;, R runs the tests in the current scope (method, class or file), Ctrl + ;, D debugs them, Ctrl + ;, F reruns only the ones that failed, Ctrl + ;, T repeats the previous run and Ctrl + ;, L runs every test in the solution. Ctrl + Shift + T jumps between a class and its test, and Alt + Shift + 8 opens the Unit Tests window. Ctrl + Alt + F6 shows coverage data after a covered run.
Ctrl + F9 builds the solution and Shift + F10 and Shift + F9 run and debug the current configuration; the item at the cursor, such as one test or a project's Main, runs with Ctrl + Shift + F10. In the debugger, Shift + F7 is Smart Step Into, which lets you pick which call on a line to enter when several are chained — the LINQ-friendly step. Ctrl + Alt + Shift + F8 sets a temporary breakpoint that removes itself after one hit. Alt + F8 evaluates an expression and Ctrl + F2 stops. Ctrl + Ctrl (double tap) is Run Anything for dotnet commands and configurations by name.
Rider uses the IntelliJ default keymap. A Visual Studio / ReSharper keymap is available in Settings › Keymap for people moving from VS.
With the cursor inside the test, press Ctrl + ;, R (or Ctrl + Shift + F10). Ctrl + ;, F reruns only failed tests.
Shift + F7 while paused lists the calls on the current line so you can step into a specific one instead of the first.
Ctrl + Shift + O opens a solution or project file; Rider then indexes it.
