Sketch is Mac-only and its keymap is long because nearly every menu item has a binding. The useful subset is small: insert tools on single letters, nudge and resize on the arrow keys with modifiers, and the layer-order and grouping chords. Insert with one key
R, O, L, V, T and F insert a rectangle, oval, line, vector path, text and frame. Pressing the letter switches the cursor to that tool; drawing on the canvas creates the layer. I inserts an interaction for prototyping and Y creates a symbol from the selection. When you cannot remember a binding, S opens the Command Bar and a few letters of the action name find it.
Nudge, resize, align
Arrow Keys move a layer by one pixel and Shift + Arrow Keys by ten; adding Cmd — Cmd + Arrow Keys and Cmd + Shift + Arrow Keys — resizes instead, growing from the bottom-right edge. Cmd + Shift + F shrinks a container to fit its contents. In the Inspector, Up / Down changes a field by one, Shift + Up / Down by ten and Option + Up / Down by a tenth, which is how precise spacing is dialled in without typing.
Layers, groups and order
Cmd + G groups and Cmd + F groups into a frame; Cmd + Shift + G ungroups. Cmd + ] and Cmd + [ move a layer one step forward or back, and Cmd + Option + ] and Cmd + Option + [ send it to the front or back. Cmd + D duplicates in place and Cmd + Shift + D duplicates behind. Enter dives into a group to select a child and Esc steps back out to the parent — the pair that replaces double-clicking through nested groups.
